Last year I had my pool patio redone in King City using Banas Imperial Black natural Stone (if you check the product, it is a lighter varied colour and NOT black). After installation, it was quickly evident that the stone heats up so much that you would literally burn your feet if you walk on it on a sunny day. It became quickly obvious that it was a danger to all that walked on it especially my young grandchildren. The contractor, Mark Franklin, (Ajoi Landscape Design)" came over to test the heat production and lasted only a few seconds in his bare feet. He went back to Banas and after several attempts at some type of resolution, they refused to take any responsibility. Bascially, "not their problem."
I was NEVER informed when I bought the product that this may occur or why would I ever have this installed! After dealing with Banas, I would strongly warn anyone about ever using any of their products seeing that if anything goes wrong, they will not be there for you.Added May 14, 2018 by daniel slipacoff
